Conditions & Stipulations
The MASA Award (two of $1,000 each) shall be awarded first to any applicant who is a full-time student at Mount Allison University (as defined by MtA policy) and a member of MASA (including a member on leave) or part of a member’s immediate family (immediate family defined as children*, grandchildren, spouse or siblings). If more than two qualified people apply, the awards shall be award first to eligible members, then to their children, grandchildren, spouses and siblings. Within any level of eligibility, priority will be given based on financial need. If less then two apply, the remaining award(s) shall be awarded by the Financial Aid Officer to needy MtA student(s) without the MASA restriction.
*Including biological children, step-children, and adopted children (whether formally adopted or not, ie including ones who have been living with the member, as family) regardless of their age, whether they live at home, marital status, etc.

To Apply
Interested full-time students with the MASA affiliation are encouraged to apply through Mount Allison’s Bursary Application. The application form can be found on the Registrar’s Office website.
Please be sure that the statement letter indicates application for the MASA Award, and names the affiliated MASA member. There is also a box on the bursary application that must be checked off.
